01

Who is responsible for your data

The Hybrid Society is the data controller for the personal data collected through this website. You can reach us at hello@thehybridsociety.com.

02

Data we collect

We only collect data you actively provide through one of two forms:

  • Newsletter form — first name, last name, email address and primary sport, together with the signup source and date.
  • Contact form — first name, last name, email address, subject and the content of your message.

We do not collect sensitive data, we do not buy contact lists, and we do not build advertising profiles.

03

Why we process it

  • To send you updates about The Hybrid Society, new camps, stories and early access — based on your consent, given when you submit the newsletter form.
  • To answer your message and follow up on a request, a partnership or a camp submission — based on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
  • To understand which sports and destinations our community cares about, in aggregate, so we can curate better camps.

04

Who can access it

Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure and is only accessible to the team behind The Hybrid Society. Emails are delivered by Resend, acting as a processor on our behalf. We never sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

05

How long we keep it

  • Newsletter data — kept until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion, and for a maximum of three years after your last interaction with us.
  • Contact messages — kept for up to three years after the last exchange, then deleted.

06

Your rights under the GDPR

If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
  • have your data erased;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting past processing;
  • lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@thehybridsociety.com. We answer within one month.

07

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in a database protected by row-level security policies, which prevent public visitors from reading, modifying or deleting any record. Only authenticated administrators can access submitted data.
